Apple Crisp
A classic, old-fahshioned dessert that welcomes you to fall and leaves your home smelling so good! Perfect with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of salted caramel sauce.
INGREDIENTS:
6 tart apples, pared and sliced
2 Tbsp granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
TOPPING:
3/4 cup old-fahshioned oats
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/3 cup butter, cold and cubed
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
Pinch of Salt
INSTRUCTIONS:
Heat oven to 375°. Grease 8 or 9 inch square pan.
In a mixing bowl, add sliced apples, granulated sugar, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon. Stir to combine, then transfer slices in pan.
Mix remaining ingredients thoroughly. Sprinkle over apples.
Bake 30-40 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown and bubbly.
Let cool to set, and serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Option to drizzle with a salted caramel sauce. 6 servings.
